A family doctor (GP) is your first point of contact with the healthcare system: we diagnose, treat, order tests and refer to specialists. Who we care for and how
Children
Care from the first days of life: well-child check-ups, mandatory and recommended vaccinations, infections, fever, colic, allergies and certificates for nursery, school and sports.
Adults
Infections and urgent problems, chronic diseases, periodic check-ups, sick leave, referrals to specialists and on-site diagnostics: ECG, Holter monitoring and spirometry.
Seniors
Management of hypertension, heart failure, diabetes and kidney disease, medication review, control tests and home visits for patients who cannot reach the clinic.
NFZ (public) care
All primary care services are free of charge for insured patients. You only need to file a declaration choosing our doctor - in person at reception or via your Patient Internet Account.
E-prescriptions and e-documents
For our registered patients we issue prescriptions for regular medication usually within 24 hours on working days - without a visit. We also issue referrals and sick leave electronically.
Coordinated care
An NFZ programme for chronic conditions: cardiology, diabetology, endocrinology, pulmonology and nephrology - with a care plan, extended diagnostics and a specialist consultation without a separate queue.
Infections and seasonal illnesses
Fever, cough, sore throat, flu, COVID-19, RSV and whooping cough. We assess whether an antibiotic is needed, run tests and issue electronic sick leave the same day.
Heart, blood pressure and metabolism
Hypertension, stroke and heart attack prevention, diabetes, insulin resistance and thyroid disease. ECG and Holter monitoring are done on site.
Children's health
Fever and colic in infants, vaccinations, immunity and a well-stocked home first-aid kit. We see children from their first days of life.

What a family doctor treats - frequently asked questions
What problems can I see a family doctor for?
Any health problem that is not a life-threatening emergency: infections, fever, cough, abdominal pain, hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease, allergies, skin problems, joint pain, insomnia, as well as referrals for tests and to specialists.
When should I go to the emergency department instead?
Call 112 or 999 for chest pain, stroke symptoms (drooping mouth, weakness, speech problems), breathlessness, loss of consciousness, severe injury or bleeding. In the evenings, at night and on public holidays, night and holiday healthcare is available.
Are chronic diseases managed in primary care?
Yes. Within NFZ coordinated care we manage hypertension, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, diabetes, thyroid disease, asthma, COPD and chronic kidney disease - with a care plan, extended diagnostics and a specialist consultation.
Can I get an e-prescription for regular medication without a visit?
Yes, for our registered patients on long-term treatment. Send a request by phone or through the form on our website; the prescription is usually issued within 24 hours on working days.
